Thanksgiving Day MenuPosted in : Featured on by : admin
I know what you’re probably thinking. Thanksgiving isn’t for 2 1/2 more weeks. Not so at our house. We celebrate Thanksgiving the first Sunday in November. I started this tradition about 5 years ago after some of our kids got married. It seemed like they were always having a tough time dividing their day between us and the in-laws. So I decided to help them not have to make that decision. They could come to our house and celebrate Thanksgiving on a completely different day. This year that day was on November 7th. In this post I’m going to be sharing my menu and then over the next two weeks I’ll share some individual recipes that I like to make. They will all be posted before you likely celebrate Thanksgiving so you can give them a try if you like.
I do try to do a few things with lower calories but not many. This is a splurge day for me but I plan it in the day and the week. I mostly just watch my portion sizes. That way I get to try a little of everything but I’m not miserable from stuffing myself and feeling guilty because I really blew my plan. You’ll see over the next few weeks a few of the tricks I use.
